LIMF returns to Sefton Park, with a monster line-up and important ticketing change.

Liverpool International Music Festival have announced their 2018 line-up as they return to Sefton Park.

Headlining the main stage will be Example and DJ Wire (Saturday), along with Hacienda Classical, who  were famously unable to perform at last year’s botched Hope and Glory Festival.

Joining them on the main stage will be Basement Jaxx, Wiley, Aurora, Stefflon Don, Young Fathers, Not3s, Rae Morris and Mahalia.

The second stage, named the True School Clubhouse, will feature legendary DJ’s. Saturday will be headlined by Trevor Nelson, along with Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B and Danny Rampling.

Sunday, however, is probably headlined by the most legendary DJ of them all; the magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff, who will be joined by British heavyweights Gilles Peterson and Don Letts.

Finally, The Shubz DJ Tent is led by Toddla T and Tim Westwood, along with Tough Love, Riton, Ace, Wide Awake, Seani B, Jus Now and Rudie Kid.

There are still many more acts to be announced, including those performing with the award-winning LIMF Academy.

Taking place on the 21st and 22nd July, it is clear that LIMF is once again proving to be one of the most diverse events in the area, featuring genuine household names with exciting emerging talent.

However, in a major change to past years, LIMF is no longer a free event.

Due to loss of council funding, the event has been forced to charge for entry for the first time ever, and alcohol is no longer permitted to be brought on site.

Advance tickets for LIMF, however, are still probably the best value you could get for such a line up, at just £5 for general admission and £15 for VIP.
