The band behind Bob Marley return, playing the biggest selling reggae hits of all time.

The Wailers are returning to Liverpool.

With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, Legend remains the best-selling reggae album of all time and you can expect plenty of the albums hits on the night.

It was the second posthumous release from Bob Marley and was a celebration of The Wailers’ greatest hits from Is This Love? to No Woman No Cry and One Love/People Get Ready. With over 250 million sales overall, The Wailers are the most successful reggae act in the world.

Arguably, it is this exact set of songs that introduced a lot of western reggae fans to the genre.

Formed in 1969 The Wailers are recognised as pioneers of reggae and continue undertake concert tours with album themes as well as promoting their message of peace and equality.

The Wailers – currently consisting of including original Wailers’ members Aston “Familyman” Barrett, Wailers’ guitarist Donald Kinsey and sax man Glen DaCosta – remain arguably the world’s premier reggae and world music group, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in their positive vibrations, and significant history, should not readily be passed over.

This tour they are joined by Aston Barrett Jr and Shema McGregor.

The Wailers play Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Wednesday 13th March. Tickets are available now from here.
