Preview: Van Morrison At Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

Mark Johnstone savours the arrival of Van Morrison to Liverpool. 

Having recently releasing his new album Roll With The Punches Van Morrison is set to take his new album on the road with a stop off at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall.

Van Morrison has been one of the most influential artists of the last 60 years releasing his first album Blowin’ Your Mind in 1967. Since then he has released a catalogue which sees Van release 36 solid albums.

Growing up in Northern Ireland Van‘s early musical influences included Blues, Gospel, Jazz, Irish Folk and Country which can be seen and heard throughout his musical career. In 2016 Van Morison was knighted and received an OBE for his achievements in music and services to tourism and charitable causes in Northern Ireland.

On November 15th Van will be bringing his whole back catalogue including hits like Brown Eyed Girl, Jackie Wilson Said, Someone Like You and tracks from his new album Roll With The Punches to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
