Tattoos – whether you love them, loathe them, or are just plain indifferent there will be no getting away from them when the Liverpool Tattoo Convention returns for its 11th year this May.

For a long time, tattoos were reserved for sailors, prisoners and indigenous tribes; however, they are now becoming more and more mainstream and all of us will know someone with a tattoo. It might even be your mum!

Whether you’re a tattoo virgin, an inked-up tattoo junkie or just intrigued and fancy a view of the world from an alternative perspective the Liverpool Tattoo Convention will have something to offer. More than 120 tattoo artists from around the world will be there to showcase their unique designs and styles.

Alongside the tattooists there will be live bands, including Planet Slop’s beloved Queen Zee and everybody’s favourite macabrely masked bass-quartet Evil Blizzard and up and coming local bands such as Dead Rebel, food stalls, jewelry, tattoo supplies and even a taxidermist. And it’s not all about tattoos and live music.

There will also be a range of shows including among others: Betty Machete, Blood in the Basement, Cunning Stunts Cabaret, and The Death Do Us Part Danger Show.

The Liverpool Tattoo Convention takes place from 4th-6th May at the Adelphi Hotel. Weekend and day tickets are available on the door or in advance at http://www.liverpooltattooconvention.com/tickets/
