Two huge live shows featuring two icons come to Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre this week with Gary Numan and Brian Wilson celebrating 50 Summers of Love.
Brian Wilson and Gary Numan are both coming to Liverpool this week to take part in two specially curated concerts celebrating the city’s 50 Summers of Love season.
First up, this Thursday sees a pioneer of British electronic music visit the Exhibition Centre as Gary Numan headlines one of just two live UK shows this year.
Promising to be a celebration of his 40+ year career that so far includes 21 studio albums it’s likely to be a setlist you won’t see performed again any time soon.
Album 22 isn’t far behind as Savage (Songs From A Broken World) is due to be released on September 15th and we’re hoping he’ll sneak one or two teasers in between the classics on the night.
Supporting the father of Brit-synth-pop are post punk icons Gang Of Four.
As Friday comes around Brian Wilson will tag in for a show that is quite simply unmissable. A final performance of Pet Sounds – undisputedly one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time.
The Beach Boy comes to the city for one of only three live UK shows this year and with the other two sold out Friday night has officially become the last chance to see Pet Sounds performed live by the legend himself.
If for some reason you’re still reading and not scrambling for tickets then the fact that this last performance is also advertised to include an extra special set of rare cuts and greatest hits will make your attendance irresistible.
Brian will be joined on the night by Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine and 70s Beach Boys touring member Blondie Chaplin.
Limited tickets are still available for both events here.
