Check out all you need to knows for Africa Oyé’s landmark 25th edition.
Africa Oyé have revealed the running order for their 25th edition this summer. See the full listings below.
The festival – the UK’s largest celebration of African and Caribbean culture – returns for its landmark anniversary edition on June 17th and 18th, once again filling Sefton Park with all manner of positive vibrations.
The two day event will be headlined by Zimbabwe afro-fusion group Mokoomba and reggae legend Max Romeo – the latter replacing the previously announced Julian Marley who has had to pull out of the festival following a car accident.
The line-up will be complemented by local acts, such as Nutribe & Butcha B and Anwar Ali & Dave Owen, not to mention welcome returns from Liverpool community acts such as drumming troupe Beatlife.
Since its inception, Africa Oyé has gradually built itself into becoming one of the most celebrated weekends in the Liverpool music calendar, and appears to break their record attendance with each passing year. Missing it is not an option.
