Planet Slop has a pair of tickets to give away to this years Festival No.6. Find out why and how you should enter here.

Save the best until last.

Apply this to the UK festival season and Festival No.6 is among the final few “summer” festivals, and most certainly one of the best.

Set in the magical village of Portmeirion (famously home of the cult TV series The Prisoner) the festival’s reputation has grown considerably in its six year history, winning a number of accolades along the way including Best New Festival, Best Small Festival and most impressively Best Line Up.

Having previously secured huge acts such as Beck, Grace Jones, Bell & Sebastian, Pet Shop Boys and My Bloody Valentine, this years line up continues to raise the bar with The Flaming Lips, Mogwai and Bloc Party headlining the four day event taking place on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of September this year.

With its variety of unique stages dotted across the site attendees will be able to watch a diverse array of acts in the most stunning of settings.

Whether complimented by the whimsical Italianate architecture of the village, the historic town hall, piazza, the picturesque Estuary stage, the atmospheric woods or the promenade along the River Dwyryd it really is a festival unlike any other and for this reason is making its way onto the ‘bucket list’ of festival goers both new and experienced.

This years carefully curated and eclectic live line-up also includes the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Bootleg Beatles, The Cinematic Orchestra, Wild Beasts, Rag’n’Bone Man, Laura Mvula, Kate Tempest, The Cribs and Jagwar Ma.

Also on the bill are DJ sets from Goldie, Hercules and Love Affair, Joy Orbison, Benji B, Joe Goddard, Mr Scruff, Horse Meat Disco, Justin Robertson and Gerd Janson as well as an impressive arts and culture programme that includes The Brythoniaid Welsh Male Voice Choir, Maxine Peake, Steve Davis, Coco Khan, Vera Chok, Ian Martin plus many, many more.

At its heart Festival No.6 is a passionately intimate and bespoke banquet of music, arts and culture which everyone should have the chance to fall in love with – and here is your chance.
