Sakura was at The Ritz to see Liam Gallagher make his live return on a poignant night in Manchester.
Liam Gallagher played his first ever solo gig at the Manchester Ritz last night, raising money for the families and victims of the recent Manchester bombings.
Although premiering his upcoming solo material was something special for longtime fans, it was naturally the big Oasis hits that the crowd came to hear, and Gallagher treated his fans to an opening duo of Rock & Roll Star and Morning Glory.
He also managed to slip in D’ya Know What I Mean?, Slide Away and was even joined by former Oasis rhythm guitarist Bonehead for the closing Be Here Now.
Fans chanted “Stand up for the 22” throughout the encore and Gallagher eventually returned to the stage to perform an a cappella version of 1994’s Live Forever.
After he exited the stage, the crowd continued singing Don’t Look Back in Anger, a song which has resonated with Mancunians following last week’s tragic event.
