The weekly jazz night returns to its rightful home with special guest Chris Rand in June.

PARRJAZZ is returning to Studio 2.

The established night dedicated to jazz will be taking over Parr Street’s Studio 2 every Tuesday from 5th June, when they will host a launch party with complimentary food and drink.

PARRJAZZ is a night for the enjoyment of jazz music, and they spread the umbrella of jazz far and wide. Along with the resident house band, there are weekly featured international guests, with the final set each week bringing all the performers together for a jam.

The first special guest will be London based saxophonist Chris Rand.

Rand has performed with a host of world renowned artists, from the Rolling Stones’ Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, to George Porter Jr of legendary New Orleans funk band The Meters. He has also worked with British rock legends such as Bad Manners and Nine Below Zero, the latter with whom he made his debut appearance at the Glastonbury Festival.

Studio 2 is a perfect venue for an event such as PARRJAZZ, and with previous performances from the likes of Snarky Puppy, Go Go Penguin and so many more, it looks set to reach new heights in its latest incarnation.

PARRJAZZ’s relaunch at Studio 2 takes place on Tuesday 5th June from 8.30pm. Entry is free.
