London’s answer to Snarky Puppy, Circus VIII are bringing their funk, rock, disco explosion to North Shore Troubadour.

London’s disco-rock giants Circus VIII are coming to Liverpool for a special secret show at North Shore Troubadour tomorrow night (Thursday 5th October).

Often descried as London’s answer to three time Grammy winners Snarky Puppy, the funk, rock, disco explosion will make a long-awaited return to the city for a special one-off performance.

A band of seasoned pros, Circus VII are made up of some on London’s finest session players, regularly touring with the likes of  Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Odyssey, Holly Johnson and Rag’n’Bone Man. Together, they effortlessly blend genres before your astonished  eyes in a frenzied,  high-energy show that will undoubtedly leave you breathless.

Support will come from local favourites the Tosin Trio. Fronted by the inimitable Tosin Solako , the trio are energetic, passionate and perform a raw, stripped down blend of rock, blues, funk and soul.  This will be their first gig in the city for quite a while, and it will be a welcome return for their effortlessly naughty grooves.

Circus VIII play North Shore Troubadour on Thursday 5th October at 8pm. This special, secret show will start at 8pm. Entry is limited, so it is advised to get down early to avoid disappointment.
